Struma’s grave is located near the town of Strumica and consists of nine layers of carved limestone. The grave is high 230 cm, wide 240 cm and 400 cm long.

A legend, which is the most accepted, says that the city was occupied by the strong Byzantine army, which failed constantly into conquering the city. After that the Struma’s betrayal happened. She was in love with the Byzantine military commander , therefore she discovered to him the secret about the unassailable Tsar’s Tower.
The secret consisted in the fact that the horses’s shoes of the Byzantine army had to be nailed down. With the discovery of a secret, horses easily climbed the steep cliffs and conquered the fortress. Because of that the father cursed his daughter “when she will die, the earth will eject her nine times". The nine layers of carved limestone the legend connects with the nine ejections of Struma.
