BILJANINI IZVORI  (BILJANA SPRINGS)

For the clear water of Biljana's springs people sang a lot of songs, but said only one legend, retold to this day, which is associated with the occurrence of the Ohrids wherry. Once upon a time in the castle under the lake at Studenchica, lived the fairy Ezerka, daughter of grandfather Karaorman. Fairy Ezerka reigned over the lake and she always desturbed the fidhermen, fliping their boats, and returning back in the lake the fish they caught. She was very envious and one

day she grabbed the beautiful girl Bijlana, the granddaughter of grandpa Chun. She took the girl in her castle to play with her. Bijlana cried all night from sadness and her tears turned into springs, which later were called Biljana's springs. Grandpa Chun made a big shell to beat fairy Ezerka. She couldn't flip this big shell and with it grandpa Chun rescued the beautiful Bijlana. Thus, after grandpa Chun the big shell was named chun (wheery), which with its look is unique in the world.
