KUKLICA (STONEDOLLS)

     A legend says that long ago in some village a great tragedy occurred. Boy, in which a girl was endlessly in love, married with another, therefore the disappointed girl cursed the newly-weds. When the wedding day came, apparently everything was right. The wedding guests assembled and the rest of the guests arrived, so the party began. At the moment when the newly-weds kissed each other, the curse achieved and the guests petrified. The petrified guests witness the anger and the pain of the unfortunate girl. Villagers called the place "Merry Wedding" because the wedding guests remained smiling and the newly-weds petrified in a gentle embrace. Because of these petrified "dolls", the place got its name - Kuklica.​
